hump day

no people.. the title doesn't mean i went to Third Base and scored with some sorority chick.. it's just that once you're done with wednesday the weekend is here, and you're over the hump, so to speak! :-P

today was one of those days.. made no significant breakthroughs (with research that is!).. met no interesting people (except that same arrogant asshole i end up talking to every other day!).. just did more of the literature reviews for the thesis, and managed to convince my supervisor that she should promote me to student co-ordinator.. though there's no pay-rise involved, so god only knows why i bothered.

salman rushdie comes to UB tomorrow.. i'm sure his talk will be interesting, but let's see if it's controversial! actually all will be forgiven if he brings his gf padma lakshmi along too.. man she is smokin'!! whew!! and she cooks too!

if you're still reading this hoping for pearls of wisdom, i fear i shall have to gently but firmly turn you away.. there is nothing for you here today! damn, i shouldn't have bothered typing this post.. the six beers that went down the hatch have since disappeared into the bloodstream, and i'm as sober as the late Pope now :-|
