bright sunshiny (mon)day

today was indeed a rare day, to be cherished! after all, how many mondays do i wake up at 8, smiling? last night was great, nats and i whipped up our latest instalment of the 'Cooking Times' - Malabari Fish Curry - which came out quite excellent! a tad bit spicy, but hey, where's the fun otherwise eh?! ;-) (ok, i downplayed it slightly with the 'tad bit', it kicked like a damn donkey on speed!)

we watched 'Black' during dinner as nats hadn't watched it yet; there's not much i can say about the movie that hasn't been said yet.. but it is one of the must-watch films of the year! call me soft, but that one held the keys to the gates of the waterworks. *sniff*!! nats and i were just discussing that it's lucky RGV didn't pick it up and turn it into a horror along the lines of Ju-on: The Grudge - whew!

i have finally discovered how to beat my advisor, by playing him at his own game! i call him before he calls me, see him and then lose him in a deluge of words describing things that i'm planning to do.. and before he can even say "Bob's my uncle!!" i'm outta there and scot free for a few more days!! ironically, his nickname's Bob too! ;-)) now before any of you take on that admonishing tone with me, trust me.. i am working! i actually have most of the thesis laid out, with the appropriate titles etc., now i just need to fill the vast, empty, white spaces under the titles.. (apparently none of the material i wax so lyrically about on this blog is eligible for a Masters thesis!) *gulp*, see ya ppls!
