saturday night fever

great day today.. weather was awesome, i slept well, though my dreams kept getting interspersed with flashes of me running, DEA chasing me, and Pink Floyd showing up at the weirdest times, providing live music for the score. i've been trying to look for airtickets to india for so long, that i've almost become an expert on searching for deals online. my cousin bro rahul is getting married in january, and that is one wedding i definitely HAVE to be there for. he is the one cousin who i am closest to, having run away from college in kgp to hang out with him in allahabad innumerable times! besides, after rahul, i'm supposed to be next in the 'marriage line'.. not that i'm planning to in the near future!! but it would be fun to see the girls my aunts and other relatives have lined up for me!! yes, this is where all the supporters of womens' lib etc. come at me hammer and tongs, but you all know that's exactly how it is :-))

vip n' i were feeling too lazy to get any brunch, so we went down to Just Pizza and picked up a few slices. then we spent a chilled out afty watching the Michigan-Iowa football game, and Jennifer Aniston's film 'She's The One'. In fact that stretched into evening, then night, and finally i hauled my lazy ass off my favourite couch and made a pretty interesting fusion meal: spaghetti, tomato and mushroom sauce, and jeera chicken! anup had dropped in for dinner and a smoke too.

the night was our domain once more.. as first we smoked up, had a couple of drinks then watched 'Iron Chef', and Pink Floyd's 'Live in Pompeii' (again!).. after which we saw barichello win his second gp on the trot as he demolished the field in shanghai.. schumi had to start from the pitlane since he changed his engine in qualifying, and never really recovered from that. then we wanted to have something sweet, which entailed a short walk to On The Run to pick up supplies for the dessert. the result was yet another one of our dessert specials - pineapple chunks in juice, with scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream slathered on top, and chocolate sauce drizzled on all that.. eat your hearts out!!
