how i sympathise with thee o King Richard.. three of my favorite bands of all time are all on tour in this month, playing near me in a period of four days, and i shall be able to see none of them! such cruel mistresses time and Ticketmaster can be!

Pearl Jam play in Boston on the 24th.. being a weekday i can't make it for that show, even if i manage to scalp tickets cos it's sold out! Alice in Chains play two days earlier on 22nd, again in Boston, for a measly price of $25.. but it's a monday, and again i will not be able to go. i would have taken time off from work, but it will be poor form considering i have just joined. and then finally Tool are in town the day before that, on 21st, which is a sunday, so i can make it too.. but the tickets sold out in the first minute they were online. i didn't even get a sniff. alas.

those of you who know me, and know how much i love my music and these bands, will understand the depths of my misery.
