Goddess of Small Things

vip n' i went to the Talking Leaves bookshop on main street to see Arundhati Roy. she is in buffalo on invitation, and was having a book signing. i kinda expected more students to be there, but it was a non-student crowd there. she was quite unlike what mom said she was - when mom met her, she was at the peak of her narmada dam protest, and was a fiery outspoken rebel. today she was almost charming! i got my copy of "The God Of Small Things" signed by her! totally a collectors item now :-))

i am back to what i do best, which is sleep in and chill out all day!! woke up at 11 and made a huge whopping breakfast - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, toast, coffee, juice.. whew :-)) hurricane frances is giving us her tailspin in western new york, so we have lots of rain, and nice chilly weather for sleeping in!! haven't slept this well for years!

talking of goddesses, hey cloud! glad to be of service to you! how you feeling now? and how's the ol' lion doing then? you have completely turned my world around the last couple of weeks, and this definitely looks to be the beginning of something beautiful. thinking of you..

I'm feeling great, the lion lies tame at my feet. Must remember not to swirl your world too much, you're already in the middle of a hurricane.

- Clouds.

And very nice to know that you're sleeping well, you lone nightbird.
