buffalo wild weather

woke up to find that we had moved into a belt of some torrential rains and howling winds, to top it off the temperature was like two degrees celsius.. in fact the sound that woke me up was the windows being peppered by hail! well, the UB Bulls had a home game against conference leaders Miami (Ohio).. so we went to watch it, despite (or is it in spite of) the horrific weather conditions.. and we stayed right until the end, cold, wet and angry, watching mistake after mistake.. final score 7-25.. dammit! it takes a lot of patience to support a buffalo team.. take the Bills now - they will manage to completely win a game, shut the other team out all day, and contrive to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the dying minutes.. we're 0-4 this season, having lost three games by three points of less.. and in the fourth game we had defending champs, the Patriots, on a rack for most of the game!

hung out with nats at the burger king, then a smoke break with mal outside her studio.. got home to find that 'master pai' was in town from white plains, NY! not only that, he's an uncle too now.. so it's 'master uncle'! went with him to 55 tyler to help him pack whatever he had left.. then we got some beer.. ate, drank, smoked up and chilled out at home.. watched 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly'.. and crashed relatively early.. by our standards, 2 is early!

the Buffalo News usually are not very nice on their reviews of rock concerts, but this one for Metallica was a really honest and glowing tribute. as i read this one week later, again i am transported to the arena.. cymbals crashing, bass thumping, guitars whining and vocals roaring!! YEAH!!
