still dazed

wow, it's gonna take at least a couple of days to get over saturday night's exertions.. was all dazed and confused today, not in the least thanks to people who kept on coming in to the room to ask what i was upto when i was obviously trying to sleep! anyways, no harm no foul..

saw this clip on Blogger News:

Still, a bunch of bloggers with cameras are having fun with it so here goes: Ask your readers to think of three photos they'd like to see posted to your blog. (Things around your house or whatever.) When you have enough requests, post them!

so i'll get into the spirit of things too - what three things would you guys like to most see? i'll give it, say, a few days for you to drop a line.. how does that sound to all you folks?

woke up finally at 12 to watch the Bills-Patriots go head to head on NFL Sunday.. we were playing at home, yet another full house.. and we played excellently for most of the game, made some huge plays, holding the Pats to 17-17, before in the last 5 minutes we spectacularly self-destructed, as we are so wont to do this season, and lost 31-17.. we must be one of the better teams in the league and yet are 0-3.. it just doesn't make sense how we always manage to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.. *sigh*

natasha came over at night and made some excellent pasta.. and we all sat together and watched some junk tv.. as we almost always do! then when everyone went off to bed, the original night-animals (vip n' me) were up watching 'Twister', and a great documentary on one of the teams for the 'X-Prize'.

for those who haven't heard about it, the 'X-Prize' is a competition for non-governmental research groups, for the first team to make an aircraft that can go up at least 100km. up into the atmosphere, carrying three people, and return safely too.. twice in two weeks.. the idea being that these craft will make commercial space travel more of a reality.. as i write this news has just filtered through that Burt Rutan's Mojave Aerospace Ventures Team has won the prize.. read about the first and second flights here.. Richard Branson's Virgin Group has also signed a contract with Rutan licensing this technology for a commercial fleet - the name? Virgin Galactic!!
