golden boy
"i have a dream...", well, not really, "i am the dream, baby!!" yeah, you got that right!! so i'm the golden boy of the biomaterials department again.. back in from the wild! had a meeting with my advisor dr. baier today.. and for two hours he grilled me and man i came out shining!! yeah, to the extent whereby we discussed how much work was required for the thesis.. and how impressed he was by my standards and work ethic (yes yes, stop laughing!!).. he acknowledged i was not the kind of student who came in everyday and slogged 9-5.. but one who, if and when i needed to work, worked superbly! damn, i should get mom n' dad to speak to baier!! he was thrilled, and i even more so!!
now i'm gonna write down what the next part of my research involves before i forget.. the paper on which i was taking notes is already missing! ;-)) if technical jargon is not up your alley feel free to skip right on!
so far i've been working on the technical capabilities of the infrared microscope.. i've rebuilt that baby.. in fact baier commented to me that i should know her as well as i know my gf!! ha ha.. he cracks me up!! the general idea is to study fluid flow characteristics under biofilm formation conditions.. both by IR microscopy, and by thermal conductivity.. he even mentioned that he sees me getting done with this in a couple of months.. which leaves me enough time to expand the scope of the research.. too.. yeah, me like!!
