where will you be..

.. the day the music dies?

SaveNetRadio.org

free internet radio is under threat.. the capitalist pigs rooting about in the Senate have now levied a bunch of taxes that threaten the very existence of internet radio. under the guise of royalty payments, and sponsored by the filthy swine who control our lives (unfortunately), the government is trying to impose huge taxes designed to push the smaller webcasters out of business, leaving the free internet in the hands of the big corporations who will eventually sell you the air you breathe.

in a world where nothing is certain but death and taxes, it is not ironic in the least that the imposition of one will lead to the proposition of the other.

there is still time, as the clock ticks down to July 15th 2007. follow the links here: read more about the issue at Save Net Radio, call up your local representative, sign the petition, blog about this issue, forward emails to your friends, and most of all, speak up!

don't let The Man beat you yet again, like he did with gas prices and unnecessary wars. don't let The Man steal your music from your internet. let your voice be heard. free internet radio will be saved.

year one.. done

i completed one year at work over a week ago.. but things have been so hectic i barely noticed it. there are times when there's so much shit happening it feels like i've been here for years and years, and then there are the times when the one year feels like just over a week because there's so much to learn about all aspects of the bottling industry

finishing the last quarter of the year filling in my boss' shoes was like a chaser after the shot.. getting thrown headfirst into the workings of the plant was pretty insane, and then with the promotion thrust upon me, it became the mountain the molehill only purported to be

so pour out a glass of Pepsi, or Aquafina, Mountain Dew, Tropicana, Sierra Mist, Ginger Ale, Lipton Tea or any one of the numerous drinks we make, do feel free to spike it with any alcoholic substance as well.. and join me in a toast -

“Here’s to long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A good year — and another one!”
Irish Toast
